Weekly Challenge #4 – 5 Point Celtic Motif:

This week’s challenge pattern was designed by Sue Hanson.  According to Sue, this design has been made into Easter eggs, broaches, earrings, centers of crosses, decorated prayer caps, handbags, and more.  I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

This was my first foray into Celtic patterns and I love it.  The pattern was easy to follow and the pictures of the individual rounds proved helpful.  I’ve turned the one I tatted into a necklace pendant.  I hope you have as much fun with this pattern as I did.  Thank you Sue Hanson for sharing your pattern and letting us use it!

Tatted by Marie McCurry. This was done in Lizbeth, size 20, denim whispers. This motif reminds me of Anne B's dragon face. The triangles would make a wonderful doily. Check out her blog: http://westpinecreations.blogspot.com/
