Wednesday’s Weekly Challenge #16 – Baby Booties

So, I was stung by a bee on the thumb yesterday and it made tatting unbearable. I was planning on finishing up a non-baby related pattern for today’s post, but instead you are getting baby booties (a pattern I have already made). It’s a bit fitting as I made a pair for my twin nieces (and will be remaking them in a slightly larger size) who were born last week (one of the reasons Davina stepped in for me). The pattern fit their newborn feet, but doesn’t leave any growing room. I will be adjusting the pattern by adding 6 additional rings to the base of the booties (3 on each side) which will change all the rounds that follow it.

Weekly Challenge #16 – Baby Booties

This week’s pattern was created by Mrs. C. B. Platt. The site I originally found the pattern on is down, but Davina made an edited PDF version of the pattern with pictures of the steps that is easily readable. So I will be linking to that.
