Beaded Beautiful with Davina Achen This class is full. Come explore the various ways to use beads within tatting.

Small 3D Flower Hairclips with Jessica Spaulding
Make 3D flowers using a single shuttle for these adorable hairclips.

Lily Pad Pincushion with Karey Solomon
Create a lotus flower and lily pad to place on a small pin cushion.

More Half-Closed Rings with Jean Reeves
Learn how to make a string of rings that begin and end at the same place.

Crazy Quilt Embellishing with Lauren Snyder
Embellish a crazy quilt block with tatted lace and beads.

Priscilla’s Shamrock with Georgia Seitz
Using a picot guage to make measured picots, tatters will create a shamrock motif.

Night Light Assembly with Cheryl Birch
TIme to assemble the night lights you have been working so hard on.

The Unwind After Class Club with Mary McCarthy – Take time to unwind, finish up a project, and/or swap techniques with fellow tatters.

I get to enjoy a class at this point in the workshop. I look forward to learning new techniques.

This bracelet combines tatting and hairpin lace.

Leaf Pendant with Patty Markley
This class is full. Tatters in this class will created a beautiful leaf from a tatted chain.

Needle Tatted Dragonfly with Wendy Griffin
This cute dragonfly will help teach the needle tatter how to keep multiple thread colors from tangling.

Twisted Tatting Bracelet with Jessica Spaulding This class is full. She will be demonstrating a two color ring technique.

I love the bracelet pattern that I get to teach for the workshop. I designed it as a gift for my mum-in-law, Robyn. It will be a fun class to teach.

Come create a flower fairy to bless your garden.

Creative Tatting 4 Design with Georgia Seitz
She will encourage tatters to find inspiration in fabric to create a tatted design.

Fuchsia with Sally Biggers
She will be showing how to combine techniques from the florist industry with tatting to create elegant flowers.

Simple Hankie Edging with Cheryl Birch
She will be showing how to embellish a hankie with tatting.

Single Shuttle Split RIngs with Jessica Spaulding
Students will work with three shuttles to create this adapted flower edging.

Vapour Stitch with Natalie Rogers
Students will use Ninetta’s vapour stitch to create a sea themed charm bracelet.

Pearl Tatted Bookmarks with Lauren Snyder. This lovely pattern uses pearl tatting and split rings to create unique bookmarks.

She will demonstrate how to alter patterns to give the appearance of hairpin lace.

 

The vapour stitch is what I will get to teach at this time. It is a fun stitch to make. The stitch was designed by Italian tatter, Ninetta Caruso. I look forward to seeing lots of little turtles and other sea dwellers on bracelets.

Wednesday Challenge

Did you now that April 1, 2014 is international Tatting Day? While my kiddos will be celebrating one of their favorite days (April Fools) I am going to celebrate Tatting day by handing out little tatting treats to people I meet that day. Everytime I run low on bobbins, I pull out the paper clips and make little bookmarks. I have handed them out to people I know but my favorite things is to just use them to clip together paperwork I turn in, camp forms, field trip requests, etc, knowing that someone processing a huge stack of mundane paperwork is going to find a little treat along the way.
There are hundreds if patterns out there, just do a search on tatted paperclips or any small motif will do.
I use the large plastic coated paperclips from the Dollar store.
The same designs can be made as cell charms using leashes.
So this is the challenge: Make and give away 10 small tatted items on April 1. If you send in a picture of your 10 items and your address, we will send you 10 yards of the new Lizbeth Twirlz. (Will ship out AFTER workshop)
