I tatted mine in two colors. My tension was a bit on the tight side and it is not wanting to lay completely flat, but I love how it turned out. It’s a perfect thing to tat with Valentine’s Day approaching. Enjoy a heart and rose for yourself or share it with a loved one.

P.S. Sorry for the long absence. My computer is acting up (using hubby’s laptop). I took on new responsibilities at my newer job (hooray for teaching a few classes in addition to tutoring!). My husband sent me on a trip to see my sister and enjoy a weekend of fantastically geeky music (I even had the opportunity to perform on stage – singing and playing my guitar!). I think I am finally getting a handle on the new schedule – so you should hear back from me on a regular basis and in the future, I promise to give warning before disappearing for so long.  Happy Tatting!

I was trying to figure out what to tat as the first challenge of 2014. I went back and forth between snowflakes, various animals, and all sorts of amazing designs by many different designers. Finally, I decided that music was the way to go. I love celebrating with music! Music plays a big role in both my memories and how I prepare for things to come. So I hope you enjoy a New Year full of music, laughter, and loved ones!

It’s a fun pattern for fall, harvest, and Halloween. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! I hope you will forgive the fact that I don’t have a completed pair yet. Since Thursday I’ve driven to Colorado and back, come down with horrible sinus issues/cold, and actually only arrived home this morning (um… guess it will actually be yesterday when this posts). Weekly Challenge #22 – Meandering Path

This week’s pattern was created by Jeanne Lugert. It is a very beautiful pattern. I really love the way it flows from one part to the next. I can easily picture it as a lovely path through a wonderfully laid out garden. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Pattern: http://ladytats.blogspot.com/p/patterns.html (both written and in diagram form)

Meandering Path - designed by Jeanne Lugert - tatted by Natalie Rogers in Lizbeth thread Niagara Falls (size 40) and Purple Dark (size 20).

Meandering Path – designed by Jeanne Lugert – tatted by Natalie Rogers in Lizbeth thread Niagara Falls (size 40) and Purple Dark (size 20).

I wanted to see what this pattern would look like in two colors. I really liked the way it turned out. However, when I do it again, I will make sure that the two colors are in the same thread size. That’s what I get for starting this pattern after 9 pm with sleepy eyes. Still, a very wonderful pattern!

Weekly Challenge #21 – TARDIS

This week’s pattern was created by Anne Bruvold. Though most of us may not be lucky enough to travel through time and space in a TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space). We are all lucky that Anne has created this pattern so that we may have our own miniature TARDIS. This is for all the Doctor Who fans (past, present, & future – of course!). If you aren’t a fan, chances are high that you may know a fan.

We have previously featured two other patterns by Anne: Minor Norwegian Dragon (Challenge #2) and Ringtrim (Challenge #13).

Pattern: Tardis – http://www.nuperelle.net/motiver/Tardis_eng.pdf

This pattern contains one split chain. I had to look up the technique, because I haven’t used it in a while. I now realize I should get some additional practice with it.
